Finished

October - Calorimetry in Artful Yarns Virtue with size 8 needles. I cast on 90. Red is hope and blue is charity.

September - Potato Chip Scarf with Rowan Calmer

August - Monkey Socks in Socks That Rock size 1 needle

August - Hemp for Knitting Baby Garter Stitch Cardigan Allhemp 6 in brick (1.25 hanks) and chocolate (0.5 hanks) in US size 2 and 3 needles for WASHED and DRIED gauge.

August - Trekking 100 socks in the bed sock pattern.

August - Widdershins pattern on size 1 needles. C/O 54 K2P1 pattern Gusset - dec every row. Yarn from sock-yarn-spinner-extraordinaire, Spinning Athena!

June - Sweet Mary Jane in KnitPicks Shadow (Jewels Heather - 5 skeins) in 2XL. Size 5 needles. Started in March; completed June 30!

June - Amy's tooth fairy pillow

June - blanket for Amy's school nap time. Red Heart Bright and Lofty, 5 skeins, on size 15 needles, garter stitch.

June - Syncopated Cap on size 1 needles using Colinette Cadenza in Toscana and Copperbeech.

June - Baby hat and baby socks in Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock, color Gray's Corner. Size 0 needles. C/O 100 for hat, 32 for sock. (See how teeny tiny they are next to my iPod Shuffle? Cute!)

June - Mock-wave cable socks in Tess Designer Yarn Super Socks & Baby in Lime Splash. Size 0 needles. Pattern from Favorite Socks by Interweave

May - Riverstone Cabled Tote Bag from Louet, using two skeins of Woolpak 14 ply on size 6 needles for ribbing and size 7 needles for cable. Pattern repeated 3 times (as compared to 3.5 in pattern)
Pattern Error: The T4R should read: Slip next stitch onto cable needle, hold at BACK of work, K3, P1 from cable needle. (Currently it reads to hold at FRONT of work.)

May - Flame Wave socks from Favorite Socks. I used KnitPicks Dancing in Rumba on size 1 needles.

April - Socks That Rock Hot Flash Monkey socks (medium weight, size 1 needles). I did 5 repeats on the leg and 22 rows on the heels. I decreased every row on the toes. Why, yes, they ARE that bright!

March - PickUpSticks Child Snugs in size 6-8. They felted very quickly. I'm not happy with how the tomato color bled/smeared/transfered through the cream wool. Shaving didn't solve the problem. I think the color is great, but not how the felting affects it...

March - Better-than-a-red-hat Clapotis in Blue Heron Yarns Beaded Rayon. Size 7 needles. Not as many increases (maybe 4?).

March - soldered charms galore...for gifts in China (Fu - happiness - symbol) and teacher gifts.

March - ZephyrStyle Wicked in random gray superwash Chinese yarn. Size 6 needles. Because the sleeve would have been way too wide as the pattern was written, I tapered the sleeve as follows:
I started with 88 stitches on my needles.
K 24 rounds even *Row 25 - K1, k2t, knit to last three stitches, k2t, k1
Knit next 6 rounds even.
** Repeat from * to ** (dec rounds were 35, 32, 39, 46, 53, 60, 67, 74, 81)
Row 82 - (k9, k2t) 6x and knit last 4 stitches (decreases to 64 stitches, divisible by 8)
Row 83 - start crossover pattern for cuff. Repeat for 4 patterns of crossovers and B/O in p2k2.

March - ZephyrStyle Rusted Root in Berroco Touché. Size 2 needles (I know!). This was a frogged project (formerly a Knitting Pure and Simple V-neck - blah). I'm pretty non-plussed with the pouffy sleeves. I should have just done regular raglan increases. Also, I did the ribbing with the top of the sweater, instead of adding later. The shaping is great!

February - Clapotis in Lorna's Laces Shepherd's Sport Icehouse. Size 6 needles. I did 2 less increases and made it much longer.

February - Opal Tiger socks - 2x2 rib and stockinette stitch with size 0 needles

February - Feza Alp scarf. 10.5 needles. C/O 160 stitches and knit until I was out of yarn

February - Spinning Athena's Prefab yarn and Yarn Harlot's scarf pattern on size 8 needles.

February - green sweater with fancy trim. I used the Handy Book of Sweater Patterns and cobbled this together. I used ArtYarns Supermerino (#104) for the hems and Nashua Creative Focus SuperWash on size 6 needles. I shaped the sweater and used the yoke pattern from one of the copy cat patterns.

January - Scarf rescue hat (from the Yarn Harlot Knitting Rules book) in Spinning Athena's hand-dyed, hand-spun yarn (scroll down to to July 9) called I Love a Parade. I knit it tightly, for warmth, on size 5 needles, with a 40-stitch garter pattern. I added a braid close to the top of my Bea Ellis hat. Amy told me that she's not going to take it off all day.

January - Bea Ellis Nordic Hat in Heilo Black and Light Blue. I used size 1 needles on the cotton lining and size 3 needles on the wool hat. Great customer service from Bea Ellis and very easy pattern to follow. I'll definitely make more of these!

January - Jaywalker socks in Socks That Rock Philosopher's Stone (lightweight). Size 1 needle, smallest size sock.

January - Peace Fleece vest in Blueberry Borscht for Mark. Size 7 needles, 40" chest. Pattern from The Knitter's Handy Book of Patterns by Ann Budd. (Mark can't believe it's finally done)

January - Schaefer Elaine vest for Amy. It will fit her when she's 8. I used up every single scrap of yarn...

January - Moebius wrap from Knitty Gritty. Anny Blatt Super Angora in Mineral (#343). I was going to make it bigger, and then I tried ripping out angora. I'm happy with the size it is! I plan on making Fetching-like gloves out of the rest of the yarn.
