May 2006 - Amy finished her pre-dance class at Beller, where she learned ballet, tumbling and tap.

May 2006 - a weekend in Branson. We stopped at Osceola Cheese (both ways) and saw the Acrobats of China - New Shanghai Circus. Then we headed off for an evening at Silver Dollar City, where Amy learned she loved roller coasters and fast rides (although the pendulum ship and cave tour made her nervous). After a second day there, we toured around Branson and saw Table Rock Lake and ate at a place where they tossed rolls to us. We stayed at the Welk Resort, which was wunnerful.

May 2006 - Amy had a pre-school picnic, celebrating the end of the school year. We decorated ice-cream cone cupcakes and had fun with all of her friends!

May 2006 - One birthday present we're now getting to use - Amy got a live butterfly garden. It comes with five caterpillars that will transform into Painted Lady butterflies. The caterpillars come in the mail and eat the culture on the bottom of the cup for about 10 days, then form cocoons and finally become butterflies. Very cool gift! They've grown about 2 times in size after 5 days!

May 2006 - Amy finally got on the two-wheeler! The teetering of the training wheels freaked her out a bit, but she's conquered the fear and conquered the bike!

May 2006 - Archie, accepting (grudgingly) the invasion into his backyard...

May 12, 2006 - We went to the "Ram in a Van" tour with two Morehouse Farm Merino rams. These year-old rams had yet to be shorn and I could stick my fingers in and not even feel their skin. The brown one is actually black - the black fades with sun exposure and is black down deep (along with lots of lanolin). Amy liked scratching their noses, while I coveted the brown/black, untreated yarn...
