Amy's Photo Gallery
Our Chicago 2006 trip. Click on the photos to see a larger version.
On Friday, we attended the American
Girl Doll tea. All of the dolls (and Fozzie and Dana) got their
own seats and we enjoyed fine treats.
Our menu included cinnamon rolls, sandwiches and scones, plus a
great dessert plate.
Why, yes, we did spend a lot of money on an
outfit for both Martha
and Penny.
And of course it comes in girl
sizes, too...
We rode the subway home, with me having issues getting my balance.
Saturday, while Beth, Nancy and Ann were at Stitches Midwest (no
pictures allowed, sorry! But shopping - oh the shopping!), the kids,
Peter, Sue and Mary Jo played on the computer, kicked the soccer
ball, played croquet, got wet at a splash park, and crafted. Peter
grilled out, Kira drooled, and we had a picnic outside.
Sunday we went to Chinatown
for Dim
Sum. While we waited, we went to the open area across the street
and saw the Chinese zodiac statues (Amy's a snake, Mark's a monkey
and Beth's a dog - Amy just liked the Dragon.) We wandered around
a bit afterwards.
After Dim Sum, we went to Millennium
Park. We saw the Crown Fountain, were awed by Cloud Gate (aka
the Bean), enjoyed the Good Humor Man and played at the water feature
before we left.
My purchases from Stitches
Midwest (Socks
that Rock in Philosopher's Stone and Hot Flash, Tess
Designer Yarn, Knitting
Nell and a Lantern
Moon basket, as well as some patterns)
